ICICI Bank gained 1.11 percent at USD 33.73 and HDFC Bank added 0.61 percent at USD 31.54.
In the IT space
Wipro jumped 2.27 percent at USD 13.04 and Infosys was down 0.26 percent at USD 58.05.
In the other sectors
Tata Motors surged 5.91 percent at USD 28.86 and Dr Reddys Laboratories advanced 2.54 percent at USD 42.33.
