Epic Asian Markets Update

Asian equity markets were mixed on Thursday following slowing inflation data from the world’s second-largest economy.

China’s Shanghai Composite was up 0.27 percent or 5.56 points at 2,049.90 and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was flat at 22,981.30.

Japan’s Nikkei plunged 1.34 percent or 215.49 points at 15,905.96 and Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 3,151.91.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite was flat at 1,959.85 and Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was up 0.14 percent or 11.72 points at 8,567.73.
