Asian stocks were mixed on Tuesday with Japan and China extending
losses into a second session while disappointing US economic data capped
gains in the rest of the region.
China’s Shanghai Composite shed 0.27 percent or 5.60 points at 2,040.10.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was flat at 22,684.45. Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.21 percent or 33.36 points at 15,875.52.
Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 3,122.73.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite was up 0.29 percent or 5.74 points at 1,959.02.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted rose 0.35 percent or 29.63 points at 8,529.64.
