Cardamom prices fell by another 0.41 per cent to Rs 840.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in reducing positions, triggered by higher supply from major producing belts.
Besides, subdued demand in the spot market fuelled the downtrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May month declined by Rs 3.50 or 0.41 per cent to Rs 840.50 per kg in business turnover of 152 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in June contracts shed Rs 2.70 or 0.32 per cent to Rs 834.10 per kg in four lots.\
