Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Asian shares opened mixed on Thursday, following losses on Wall Street overnight and before the latest Chinese manufacturing activity data.

China’s Shanghai Composite gained 0.89 percent or 19.03 points at 2,161.59. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng shed 0.71 percent or 161.69 points at 22,502.83.

Japan’s Nikkei plunged 1.32 percent or 194.97 points at 14,571.56. Singapore’s Straits Times was up 0.11 percent or 3.41 points at 3,092.20.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite fell 0.40 percent or 7.71 points at 1,935.22. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted declined 0.29 percent or 24.86 points at 8,552.15.
