Shares of HCL Technologies climbed 2% in Thursday’s trade ahead of the board meeting on a share buyback proposal. The stock rose 2.47% to hit a high of Rs 1,019.70 on BSE.

Infosys Q1 earnings on Friday; here’s what to expect

Rupee opens 9 paise up at 68.68 against dollar


The rupee on Thursday made a sedate start, up 9 paise, at 68.68 against the dollar. A fall in global crude prices buoyed sentiment in the domestic currency market despite trade war escalation between the US and China. Traders also remained wary ahead of IIP and retail inflation data, according to PTI.
