Hotel Leelaventure defaults on payment of quarterly interest to LIC

Cash-strapped hospitality chain Hotel Leelaventure has defaulted in payment of quarterly interest of Rs 2.12 crore to Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
Hotel Leelaventure, which currently has a debt of over Rs 3,600 crore, had issued secured redeemable non-convertible debentures on private placement basis aggregating to Rs 90 crores to LIC in December 2008.

RIL slips nearly 2% post multiple block deals

Shares of Reliance Industries (RIL) slipped as much as 1.68% in the morning trade on Friday on reports that 12.4 lakh RIL shares worth Rs 126 crore were traded in multiple block deals on NSE. The shares were traded at Rs 1,017 a piece.

Wall Street declines as Amazon, Intel fall; trade worries persist

US Stocks dipped on Thursday as a US Supreme Court ruling on state sales tax collection pulled Amazon and other online retailers lower while industrials continued to falter on concerns over trade war concerns.

The price-weighted Dow index is heavily affected by industrial companies and trade concerns pushed the index into negative territory for the year earlier this week, with the index on pace for its eight straight decline.
