HCL Tech comes down 2% on share buyback offer

HCL Technologies dropped over 2% on Friday following the announcement of its much-awaited share buyback. The board of the third-largest IT firm on Thursday approved a share buyback of up to Rs 4,000 crore, which is higher than Rs 3,500 crore offer it came out with last year.

L&T Construction bags orders worth Rs 3,000 crore

Larsen&Toubro (L&T) today said its construction arm has won orders worth Rs 3,000 crore to build office buildings in Andhra Pradesh and a tourism-related facility in Oman. “The construction arm of L&T has won orders worth Rs 3,000 crore in the buildings and factories business, the company said in a BSE filing.

Wall Street bounces back; technology, industrials lead

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 224.44 points, or 0.91 percent, to 24,924.89, the S&P 500 gained 24.27 points, or 0.87 percent, to 2,798.29 and the Nasdaq Composite added 107.31 points, or 1.39 percent, to 7,823.92.

Infosys Q1 earnings on Friday; here’s what to expect

Infosys, India’s second-largest IT firm, is all poised to announce its financial results for the quarter to June on Friday. Brokerage firm Phillip Capital expects the software major to maintain revenue growth guidance for FY19 at 6-8% constant currency growth, with a brighter outlook for deal flow.
